About Me
I studied historic preservation at the College of Charleston — the city where 1739 begins, and the one that has never quite let me go.
I’m dyslexic and never intended to write a novel. Then a red door appeared in a daydream and refused to leave me alone.
The story arrived in flashes, in lines of dialogue straight from the minds of my characters. I followed where they and the story wanted to go and trusted that it would all make sense in the end. That whatever was meant to be already was.
I’ve never believed that fate and free will were mutually exclusive and I enjoyed exploring the theme further.
1739 is my debut novel. It will not be my last.
Far too many more stories to write.
